Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 27: It seems that Health Department has knealt down before defaulter, as despite change of guard, rent for fair price shop in Sarwal Hospital, is not being recovered, causing huge revenue loss to the hospital. Sources told Early Times that around Rs 1.5 crore as rent was due when 2016-17 financial year begun. Earlier it was being alleged that rent was not recovered due to pressure from the than Health and Medical Education Minister. "Succumbing to pressure of former Health Minister, the Health and Medical Education Minister had knealt down before powerful defaulter and recovery of Rs 143 lacs had been hanged", they said. "Unfortunately, despite change of guard no concrete steps to recover huge amount from defaulter, Pharma Entrepreneur, been taken", sources told early Times that added that it smells that the incumbent has hands in glove with the lessor (Parma Entrepreneur). However, sources told Early Times that the till the formation Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led state government in March 2015, the department made efforts to recover the dues. "The department put its recovery process under the carpet, as allottee of Fair Price Shop in the hospital, was close aide of the then Health Minister", they alleged. Sources informed that the management of Sarwal hospital had rented-out a shop in its premises to one Rajinder Gupta, and as per bidding rules Rs 38 lakh was to be paid by allottee to hospital annually. Sources said that on December 30, 2014 Director Health Services Jammu directed Medical Superintendent, Sarwal Hospital to recover pending dues from the allottee. "The balance amount due on account of bidding money amounting to Rs 95.50 lacs", the DHS Jammu directed to MS Sarwal Hospital recover the dues. The incumbent has been making claims since the day he took over the charge of health and medial Education. "Nothing has been done, to recover the amount", they added. |
