Jammu, Nov 27: Motivated to keep awareness drive on keeping heart healthy, team of Doctors from Medanta The Medicity Hospital Gurgaon today reached out to the residents of Bishnah tehsil in Jammu. Led by Sr. Director Medanta Heart Institute Dr. Vijay Kohli and Dr Hari raj Tomar (Sr.Consultant Cardiology), along with a team from Care India Foundation ,Kamla Polyclinic and their Paramedics and volunteers held a day long "FREE Heart Check-up Camp" in a Kamla Polyclinic in Bishnah tehsil. A long queue of patients was seen waiting eagerly to get their cardiac health checked, from getting their BP checked to Cholesterol tested, around 110 patients were screened and benefitted from the camp, wherein basic heart investigations like ECG & Blood Glucose was provided to all the patients with intention to motivate people to eat healthy and live well by the team of doctors for prevalence of cardiac diseases. Those who were found having high Blood Pressure, diabetes, problems with Heart Rate and some other symptoms of heart disease were prescribed medicines and told to keep an eye on their heart. |
