RET urges Govt stop harassment, release salary of SSA | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 27: ReT Forum today demanded stoppage of harassment of on screening test and release of several months' Salary of SSA. A monthly meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers' Forum on Sunday held at Exhibition Ground Jammu under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and was attended by Executive members of Forum. While speaking on the occasion Sharma lambasted the state government and Education department who is sleeping in deep slum as thousands of SSA teachers of the state are without salary for last 4 to 6 months. He said that the families of these teachers are living miserable lives as they are unable to provide proper food and clothing to their children and medicines to their old and ailing parents. They were unable to celebrate the festivals like Eid, Diwali etc and they have projected this issue from bottom to top several times and even highlighted this issue during peaceful protest at District Headquarters on November 10 but nothing has been done to streamline the SSA salary which is a matter of great concern, he said. He further said that instead of releasing several months SSA salary, ReTs are being harassed on the name of screening test as CEO Jammu has made a list of all distance mode degree holders including JU, KU, IGNOU, MANUU and other reputed universities which is a clear cut violation of Court order and Government order No 184 where in only fake degree holders are to be screened. "Such step of the CEO Jammu and CEO Kishtwar is condemned by the Forum and it will not be tolerated at any cost. While hailing the High Court judgment regarding transfer of ReTs regularized as General Line Teachers", he said, and stressed for immediate implementation of the said order in letter and spirit. |
