Jammu, Nov 27: Two persons were arrested and over 1,000 pouches of country made illicit liquor were recovered from their possession in the outskirts of Jammu city today. On specific information, police stopped a car near Gho Manhasan area on the outskirts of the city and during the checking, 1,024 pouches of country made illicit liquor were recovered, a police officer said.
The two accused have been identified as Surjeet Singh and Vicky Kumar, both residents of Gho Manhasan, the officer said.
He said that a case under various sections of the state Excise Act has been registered against the two and further investigation is on. |
