Srinagar, Nov 27 : Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have arrested three persons, allegedly involved in weapon snatching incidents from police personnel in south Kashmir. A senior police officer at Pulwama said that acting on tip off security forces arrested three youths who are involved in snatching weapons from police guards posted at minority villages in south Kashmir. He said the accused have admitted that they were involved in the crime to join the militancy. Pulwama has also recently arrested five Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) involved in bank robbery in the district. However, the main LeT militants are still absconding. The LeT militant outfit however, has denied the involvement of its militants saying the outfit did not indulge in such immoral activities. |
