Seniors push subordinates to collect money for sports event | Promoting corruption JKP style | | K Koushal Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 1: In a staggering revelation, the senior officers in police department are allegedly pushing subordinates to arrange money from businessmen for the upcoming sports event, thus encouraging corrupt practices. According to sources, the senior officers, who are reportedly in direct contact with the businessmen and have already taken money from them, but their greed for money does not stop here and they have allegedly instructed every Station House Officer (SHO) to arrange money from the same party for the event. If sources are to be believed all the Station House Officers (SHOs) and In-charge Police Posts are being pressurized to collect money from influential persons of their respective areas by the seniors. "For organizing the proposed sports event in a lavish manner, the subordinates have been directed to ensure collection of funds by SHOs and In-charge police post under the jurisdiction of their respective districts," sources said. "In response to the order, the officers have issued instructions in to SHOs and in-charge police post to collect as much funds as possible for the event so as to avoid any shortfall in arrangements for a successful tournament. At the same time they have been given fixed targets to achieve the goal while they were directed to complete their assigned targets at any cost," sources added. The SHOs and In-charge police posts have been asked to collect the payment in cheque mode. After receiving the verbal orders the SHOs and In-charge Police Posts have begun exercise of collecting funds from as they made calls to several people for the donations. Sources said that the funds to be collected will be disguised as the money given by the sponsors wishing to contribute for the tournament. |
