Kishtwar, Dec 1: In order to improve police public relations and to channelize youth energy in right direction and to keep them mentally and physically fit and away from drug addiction, Kishtwar Police today organized three days Sports Mela 2016 at Chowgan ground Kishtwar in which sports teams from different areas participate in different games. The opening ceremony of the tournament was held today which was declared open by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Bhalwan. While speaking on this occasion Sandeep Wazir, Senior Superintendent of Police District Kishtwar said that sports teams from both rural and urban areas of district are taking part in Wrestling, Kabbadi, Volleyball, Kho kho, short version football, Tug of war etc. The opening matches were held in Tug of war game between the players of village Matta and Young Stars Kishtwar. The players of Village Matta won the opening matches by 2-1. These teams also participated in another opening matches in Kabbadi games. |
