| Let's jointly fight menace of drug to save lives of our youth: Zorawar | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: Seeking support of every section of the society to save youth from the yoke of deadly drug addiction, chairman of the Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal today said that sports and music are the best means to create awareness about drug menace.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal was speaking in event organized by world's first Sikh Rock Band "The Roving Sikh Rock Band" with the theme. "Say No To Drugs". The event was organized with the collaboration of Team Jammu and sponsored by Wave Mall.
With Sikh Rock Band Stars including Monty on Drums and Percussion, Dr Rajdeep performing lead vocals, Gagan Singh on Lead Guitar, Dr Gurpreet Singh with rythms, advocate Deepjot on Bassist and Dr Vidyut handling keyboards, hundreds of youth participated in the music concert, first of its kind, to educate younger lot against drug addiction. Thunderous applause was visible on each and every performance of Rock Band.
Amid shouting the deafening slogans, "Say No To Drugs", Mr Jamwal said that Team Jammu has taken the initiative to make Jammu Province free from the menace of drugs but support of every section of the society is must to achieve the goal.
"No section of the society is escape from this menace. Wherever we are going as part of our campaign parents are coming forward to narrate their tales of woes. We have to jointly fight this war because youth of each and every community have become victim of this menace", Mr Jamwal said and informed the gathering that Team Jammu had started campaign in the month of November 2015 and it was really heartening that youth are coming out in large number to take this campaign to the logical conclusion. |
