Burhan wanted money against India | Tapes expose Pak-Wani nexus | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 3: Burhan Wani was a terrorist and Pakistan agent. It is now established. Audio tapes of conversation between Wani and Lashkar-e-Toiba chief Hafiz Saeed involved in the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks are now available and on Friday this conversation between the two was the very hot topic of discussion and debate. Even on Saturday, people only talked about the Saeed-Wani nexus. A few days before he was liquidated by the security forces in Anantnag district, Burhan had spoken to Saeed and sought his "blessings" to fight a "common enemy". As per the details, Wani had reached out to the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba for "funds and operational coordination with Hizbul Mujahideen". In an audio tape of the conversation between Wani and Saeed put out by CNN-News 18 on December 2, Saeed was heard praising Wani for his "great work and sacrifices" and offering all help to Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists fighting for Kashmir's freedom and religion. Burhan Wani, on the other hand, sounded in awe of Saeed. He said "how he was keen to talk to him for long and how, by the grace of god, his wish had finally been granted". It is clear from the transcript released by the channel that Saeed's call to Wani followed a message sent by the latter, possibly through LeT commander in Kashmir also showed that Wani was in regular touch with Lashkar operatives based in Jammu & Kashmir, and wanted Hizbul Mujahideen and LeT to put up a united fight against India and for religion. In the audio tape put out by CNN-News 18, Saeed tells Wani that "he has been following the latter's activities and that he was very happy with him". "Your people are living in a very difficult conditions. But you don't have to worry. Whatever you need just tell us we are ready for every help," Saeed tells Burhan Wani. And Wani in response tells Saeed that "the enemy (India) is almost defeated and we have to maintain this". "We have to go all out on attacks and shouldn't lose this opportunity. For this, we need ammunition and support. We should work together for this," he further tells. The audio tape has completely exposed the dangerous nexus between Saeed and Burhan. But more than that the tape and the conversation have vindicated the Army's stand that Burhan was a terrorist who was needed to be killed. Besides, the tape should also expose Omar Abdullah and others like him who had bemoaned Wani's killing saying he never heard that Burhan was a terrorist or he was involved in terror activities. |
