VDC Member shoots himself 12/22/2016 11:04:59 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Dec 22: Village Defiance Committee (VDC) Member committed suicide by shooting himself with his VDC weapon, a 303 rifle, at his residence under mysterious circumstances in general forest area Jngal Gali in Tikri of Udhampur District here today. According to the police Sources, one Puran Singh (46) son of Suraj Singh of village Jangal Gali in Tikri area shot himself with .303 gun late Wednesday evening under mysterious circumstances. "On hearing gunshot, some locals immediately called the police which on receiving information rushed to the spot and after walking about 10 km on foot it took the custody of body. Later the body was shifted to hospital for Postmortem, sources said. They said cause behind the extreme step was not ascertained so far.
