| Safeer handed over to Rajouri police | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 17: Poonch police today handed over Mohd Safeer Ahmed Khan resident of Pathana Teer (Mendhar in Poonch district) to Rajouri police for further investigation.
Safeer who while working as porter with army in Rajouri district had crossed the LoC and was repatriated by Pakistan army on Friday from Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch district. "Safeer was on Friday handed over to Poonch police by the army after Pakistan army repatriated him in the afternoon. Safeer was today handed over to Rajouri police for further investigation because his mother had lodged FIR against army in Rajouri police station. Isma Bi mother of Safeer and Rukhsana his wife had alleged that the unit with which Safeer was working as porter was involved in his missing and had approached the Rajouri police in this connection. On the complaint of Isma Bi a case FIR under sections 343, 364 and 109 was lodged in Rajouri police station and police had started investigation. On the other hand army had claimed that Safeer had cross the LoC without any information to unit officers. Since then, sources claimed, reportedly Indian army was in touch with their counter parts which resulted in the repatriation of Safeer today from Rawlakot-Poonch crossing point at Chakan-da-Bagh in the presence of Magistrate and police officals After preliminary investigation by the army and intelligence agencies, Safeer reportedly has been handed over to Poonch police for detailed investigation. |
