Early Times Report jammu, Mar 17: Keeping law enforcing agencies at bay, a powerful contractor from Udhmapur allegedly threatening a woman to eliminate her family, if she does not withdraw case against him. Narrating her tale, around 40 year old Nasreen Akhtar wife of Manzoor Ahmed, who is also bed ridden for over an year due to kidney problem said that the Ghulam Nabi a contractor, is threatening her since long but local police is not paying a heed into her repeated complaints seeking security for her family. "I started construction of my house, on January 16, 2017, Ghulam Nabi with his goons trespassed into my under construction house, he thrashed labourer engaged for construction and decamped with construction tools", she said and added she went to Police Station Udhampur but Police officials instead of listening, abused her. She said that met all the police officials from Munshi of Police Station to SSP Udhampur, but nobody helped her. "Finally, knocked door of court, on the directions passed by Court of Munsif, Udhampur Police registered a case against the accused Ghulam Nabi and others under FIR number 34/2017 at PS Udhampur under section 447 and 382", she said. Since the matter is sub judice, the accused Ghulam Nabi is pressuring me to withdraw the case. "He, on daily basis comes at my home in late night and threaten to kill my family, since nobody is listening us, I'm forced to commit suicide", she said and added that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, according to people is leaving no stone unturned to deliver justice will she do justice with me? She said that even she went local MLA, Pawan Gupta who also asked the SHO to do justice, but the SHO, even entire Police department is favoring the culprits. "Recently, Ghulam Nabi came at our place and forcefully stole Rs 50,000 we accumulated for treatment of my ailing husband, by Profession a Driver, and bed ridden for past one year", she alleged. SSP, Udhampur when contacted he assured that justice would be done with the complainant. "If someone, in our department is not pursuing the matter the case will given to another officers, and action will also be taken against the erring officers ", he added. |
