Jammu, Mar 17: Keeping in view the ensuing Navratra Festival and as per the Directions of the Director FCS&CA, a special checking squads headed by Joginder Singh Assistant Director (Enforcement) FCS&CA Jammu along with team of inspectors Raman Kumar, Yogesh Kumar, Prithipal Singh, Puneet Kumar and Nitin Wadhera conducted the market checking at Trikuta Nagar, Railway Station, Bahu Plaza, Bikram Chowk, Last Morh Gandhi Nagar, Gole Market Gandhi Nagar and inspected 84 business establishments and booked 16 defaulters for violating various rules of Essential Commodities Act 1955 and Price Display Act and a fine of Rs. 16100/- (Rupees sixteen thousand and one hundred only) were realized from the defaulters on the spot. Business Establishments were issued strict directions to display the rate lists in bold letters at a conspicuous place of their establishments and not to indulge in any type of unfair trade practice/overcharging failing of which the FIR against the defaulters shall be lodged in the concerned police station. |
