Pakistan - Be ready for another disintegration | | | R.B.Suri
The internal picture of Pakistan is not so good but rather is disturbing as its economy condition is very weak. Pakistan is breathing with help of the ventilators which means it is surviving on cash doles from the countries which support terrorism and are not for peace and calm across the World. Democracy there is just for the sake of name only. Actualy the entire country is in hands of the military rulers. Prime Ministers come and go but they don't have any say in the country's affairs and most of the Head of the state i.e. Presidents in the past were the Military Generals who actually ruled the nation. Pakistan cannot be self sufficient in coming 50 years at least . It cannot be a good political entity because of the ISI which controls and commands the terrorists and fund them vigorously for creating the all nonsense activities which take the precious lives of the innocents . PAK cannot get rid of incompetent political rulers and military junta. General masses of the country are totally fed up as they are being maltreated in their own country as also their earnings are just meager with which they can't survive in this competitive World . Needless to mention that in the past several years, people of POK are making the protests and continuous demonstration against the Pakistan Rulers ansd are demanding freedom from them. POK witnessed widespread protests across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Gilgit Baltistan against Pakistan's ill-treatment of the region and its people. In Gilgit-Baltistan, people have come out on the streets shouting anti-Pakistan slogans and rejecting the Pakistan Government's enforced taxation.Markets and business establishments remained shut and traders in large numbers gathered in major cities, including Gilgit and Skardu to express their anger against the imposition of `illegal' taxes by Islamabad. They called on the government to withdraw all taxes imposed in Gilgit Baltistan under the GB Tax Adaptation Act 2012. The protest call was given by the Anjiman-i-Tajran and the Awami Action Committee (AAC), and backed by all political and religious parties in Baltistan.Addressing a gathering in Skardu, Basharat, an advocate and member of Baltistan civil society, blamed Islamabad for its autocratic behaviour and for abusing the powers of the Gilgit Baltistan Council which is headed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He further briefed that "Gilgit-Baltistan Council is chaired by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He definitely has no sympathy for Gilgit-Baltistan. If it was so, he would have taken decisions as per the convenience of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. He never attends any meeting. It is very sad. The Prime Minister only endorses a plan designed by a section officer in Islamabad. The protests will continue till the government meets the demands, the organisers have announced."This is the height of barbarism. We don't have any party to express our concerns. So, the people have no option but to block roads and go on strike. Now, the government will use force to demolish our campaign. For the past 47 years, they have kept us confined by dividing us on sectarian lines".In Rawalakot city, people came out onto the streets to protest against the discriminatory surge in load shedding hours. The protest was organised by the Jammu Kashmir National Awami Party (JKNAP), which claimed that the PoK produces some 5,000 MW of electricity from five dams and 4500 MW of that electricity is diverted to the Islamabad grid leaving the local people with just 500 MW. Sardar Liaqat Hayat, President of JKNAP, said, "We people are paying hefty bills despite having hours long load shedding. We all need to come onto the streets to protest for our right to free electricity. We need to give sacrifices as nothing comes free. Those who are getting everything free are the `moulvis' sitting in a mosque. Ordinary people have to fight for their rights". The JKNAP has threatened to intensify its protest against Islamabad if their demands are not met. It also blames Pakistan for exploiting resources from PoK and being responsible for the poverty and underdevelopment in the region. Things started improving slowly in Kashmir India, after the crackdown of terrorists by security forces and booking of separatist leaders by investigative agencies but again several incidents of violence and fidayeen attacks occurred resulting which calm atmosphere again vitiated . On the other hand, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) suffers political disturbances with the growing upsurge of revolts by the people. The latest incident of revolts has taken place in Gilgit- Baltistan of PoK, where people have declared that they will not pay taxes to Pakistani officials. declined, pointing out that it was a disputed territory and if it integrated the region into itself, the UN Resolution concerning the whole of Jammu and Kashmir would become redundant. As a result of the existent political clashes with the government, the majority of people of Gilgit- Baltistan do not want to remain in Pakistan. They want to attain liberty and equal rights, breaking the shackles of oppression. Pakistan is now displaying alarm at the changed political situation in the region, and consequent deliberations are being made about admitting Gilgit- Baltistan as its fifth province. Earlier, USA always supported Pakistan against India and funded it liberally with crores of USA dollars besides supplying arms and ammunition free of cost . Now after having bitter experience of terrorism being spread by Pakistan all over the Asian subcontinent and India particularly, and with the coming of Donald trump as the President of USA, stopped all the supports and pressed it for leaving the policy of spreading terrorism . Barrack Obama too supported Pakistan earlier but he had lip sympathy only for India . Later he remained annoyed with Pakistani Rulers when our PM Narender Modi made the good friendship with USA. Pertinent to mention here that only seven years ago, when Narender Modi was to go to USA as the Chief Minister of Gujarat in connection with attending of some important function / seminar or a conference over there, the USA administration did not allow him to visit USA . He is the same MODI who from that day worked very hard in building very good relations with USA which is progressing magnificently under the able and dynamic leadership of the President Barrack Obama and ultimately succeeded in developing extra ordinary ties with USA in a short span of 7 months only after becoming the Prime Minister of India. Apart from the other matters of mutual interests, he must have discussed with him the issues pertaining to the unwanted Cease fire violations being made by Pakistan every now and then on the international Border (IB) and Line of Control ( LOC).On the basis of good ties he developed with USA and its then President Barrack Obama personally within a short span of time. On getting the invitation ,President B. Obama immediately accepted the invitation given by PM MODI. By seeing this closeness between India and USA within a short span , Pakistan felt furious and shown discomfortness. By doing so, USA had taken a sudden U- turn towards India thereby discarding Pakistan totally who remained its beggar for all the times in the past and the same time remained extra busy in destabilizing India every now and then. Since the internal picture of Pakistan is totally in disorder position and also there are widespread protests , agitations and demonstrations in POK and other provinces of PAK, the Rulers are unable to contain the unrest resulting which total chaos and lawlessness is prevailing over there. Defense Analysts opined that another disintegration of Pakistan is due very much which will happen very shortly. Though it is a matter of history now that earlier disintegration of United Pakistan ( West and East) happened on December 16, 1971 when its erstwhile East Pakistan was liberated with the hectic efforts of Indian Army and the Mukti Vahini and a new Nation as Bangladesh came into being on December 16, 1971. This is just for reference for the readers of the article. Based on the ongoing revolt made by the general masses of POK against the military Rulers, it can be concluded that Pakistan should be ready for another disintegration in the near future. I am concluding the article with the famous proverb, "He who digs a pit for others, himself falls into it ". |
