Jammu, Mar 17: A team of J&K Aam Aadmi Party, led by National Council & Founder Member, AAP, S. Deep Singh, visited forward areas along borders of Tehsil Bishnah at zero point and interacted with all sections of society including Ex. Sarpanches, Lamberdars, Panches & prudent person of Panchayat Halqa CHJAGYA & ALAH and took stock of the situation prevailing there. The people of the area told the visiting team that condition of the development in the area is that water in the Ranbir Canal used to reach tail end point few decades back and now it has become a tale of the past and as such people are suffering a lot. The Schools remained closed for about three months due to heavy shelling from across the border, how can our children compete with those of the towns & city when asked in the local School or competitive examinations, the villagers raised questions with concerned? The villagers further said that promise of 5 Marlas of land per family to the border people is a dream, instead they are charged for electricity for 12 months for their irrigation motors used for only two months and that they need bunkers constructed in their yards on war footing to save lives due to sudden firing & shelling by the hostile neighbor. |
