| PIL regarding implementation of rules on Cinema Halls | | DB issues notices | |

Jammu, June 7: In a PIL filed by two practicing advocates of High court Sidharth Anand and Bhavishya Sudan, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice Sanjay Gupta issued notices to all the cinema hall owners of the state.
Advocate Aditya Sharma appeared on behalf of the Petitioners and pleaded that the cinema rules which had been framed by the legislatures had not been implemented in letter and spirit by the cinema halls of the state.
Aditya sharma argued that in contravention of rules, cinema hall owners are charging the money for ticket at their own free will.
Adv. Aditya Sharma further submitted that moreover restriction had also been imposed by the owners of cinema hall owners from taking outside eatables inside the cinema halls and they have been forced to eat only junk food that too from within the hall itself.
After hearing advocate Aditya sharma,the Division Bench issued notices to the cinema hall owners as well as the District Magistrate Jammu. |
