DHS shows thumb to Health Minister's direction | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 7: The anarchy in Director Health Service can be gauged from the fact that despite the direction of Health and Medical Education Department to enquire the matter of doctor posted on non-existing post at UPC Sidhra, no action has been taken so far by the Director of DHS Jammu. Pertinent to mention that Dr Jameela Akhtar was posted on non-existing post at Urban Health Centre Sidhra for last many years in violation of rules and regulations. When the matter was brought to the notice of the Health Minister Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, he assured that the matter would be enquired and suitable action would be taken. But 15 days have passed and nithibg has moved. "This case has exposed that Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Jammu has become a hub of nepotism and favoritism and influential doctors have allegedly been posted at various Health institution, "official sources claimed. The said doctor had managed to get herself posted at UHC Sidhra (non existing post) which is near her home reportedly after completing her services at Roop Nagar. "There was only a post of NHM and no other post of the doctor at the UHC Sidhra. Sources further stated that favouritism in the DHS Jammu mocks at the claims of the government of bringing transparency in the system. "We are fully aware that due to political link, no action would be initiated against such doctor, who enjoying special privilege by throwing rules into wind and genuine are running from pillar to post, "sources alleged. |
