JAMMU, June 7: The public of Laxmipuram - sector-B -2 area of ward number 62, Municipal Corporation Jammu, in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Kumar Rao, an active member of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice, expressed great resentment over acute shortage of drinking water. The public of the area have appealed the P.H.E Minister, Sham Choudhary to intervene in the matter personally so that regular water supply for one hour on daily basis is ensured to the area. Rao wondered as to why electricity is being snapped as compared of the adjoining areas like Chinore, Roop Nagar Enclave & Durga Nagar etc. The inmate feel discriminated over this act of the authorities. The people of the area have been suffering badly from the shortage of power supply for the last 3 months due to the apathetic attitude of the officials of the power development department, responsible for ensuring the proper supply of electricity in the area. They also appealed the Power Minister, Sunil Kumar Sharma to look into this grave injustice & discrimination immediately failing which public will be constrained to come on roads, he cautioned. |
