| Jammu, June 7: Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India launched the Scheme-Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Housing for All Mission on 17th June 2015 across the Pan India. J&K Housing Board has been nominated as the State Nodal Agency for the State Jammu and Kashmir. In phase-Ist 25 Cities/ Towns out of 80 statutory towns were included for implementation of PMAY-HFA (U). Out of the 25 Cities/ Towns, 12 towns/ cities viz Jammu, RS Pura, Samba, Kathua, Basoli, Poonch, Rajouri, Udhampur, Ramban, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah and Doda are in Jammu Division, and 13 Cities/Towns are in Kashmir Division viz. Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Anantnag, Bijbehara, Shopian, Pulwama, Baramulla, Sopore, Handwara, Kupwara, Leh & Kargil. All the efforts have been made by the department to include all the houseless beneficiaries of the State who do not have any pucca house in State or outside State and those beneficiaries who comes under EWS category and their annual income does not exceed Rs 3 Lacs per annum besides are the permanent residents of the J&K State. |
