| Bhim Singh urges Guv to dissolve State Assembly | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 26: Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party urged N.N. Vohra, the Governor of J&K to dissolve the J&K Legislative Assembly forthwith, involve all political elements in the electoral process and hold election to the Assembly with Lok Sabha election in 2019. NPP Supremo urged the Governor to constitute Delimitation Commission forthwith and delimitation to the State Assembly has not been held for three decades. He urged that Governor is competent to issue an Ordinance declaring that delimitation shall be held according to the basic law. The law amended by the State Assembly to bar delimitation till 2026 is totally unconstitutional, illegal and violates basic law and human rights in J&K. The Governor is competent to issue an Ordinance in this regard by declaring that delimitation shall be held in accordance of the provision of the Constitution which provides that delimitation shall be held after every 10 years. Prof. Bhim Singh also called on all political parties including the Hurriyat Conference to join this constitutional movement with Panthers Party so that fresh elections are held on the basis of delimitation finding within six months. Prof. Bhim Singh called on Hurriyat Conference leaders, many of them, had participated in the Assembly elections, to join the political process so that the people of all regions of the state including Kashmir Valley are duly represented in the State Assembly. |
