| Even retired employees distributing advertisements | | Rampant corruption in Information Deptt | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 26: The only noticeable achievement of the previous PDP-BJP regime was to legalise corruption. The Information Department especially emerged as glaring example of rampant corruption and nepotism of all kind.
Even after the fall of coalition government, there is no check on corruption and nepotism in Information Department.
Credible sources said that advertisement wing of the Information Department is completely controlled by some selective officers/officials of the department and these officers/officials never allowed any other official to intervene. For years together only some selective officers/officials have been controlling the wing.
Credible sources further revealed that some officers/officials even after their superannuation from government service are still playing important role in distribution of advertisement.
Credible sources said that some of these retired persons have started newspapers of their own or in the name of their family members because they know the nitty-gritty of advertisement distribution. |
