Jammu, June 27: In an attempt to hide their misdeeds, some KAS officers who had served in personal section of PDP ministers are making frequent visits to the GAD bosses to get posts retained in same departments they served as officers on special duty (OSDs) to ministers.
Sources in GAD informed Early Times that officers deployed in personal section of former PWD minister are nowadays making frequent visits of GAD. "They have developed channels to mislead the Governor's office", sources said and added that an IAS officer, presently secretary, had recommended a former OSD to a PDP minister, be appointed in the same department.
"The secretary had issued a letter to the direction office in favour of a former OSD who was very keen to get adjusted in two departments where he has served as OSD", sources said.
Another group of officers from personnel section of former PWD minister, has been leaving no stone unturned to make their dreams come true. "These officers had made some big deal, but after sudden fall of government, they are now trying their misdeeds", they said and added GAD is also forced to accommodates these officers.
Sources said that the new Chief Secretary, who is not aware about of the misdeeds of some notorious OSDs, is also being misled. "If they secured their posting in same department or the Secretariat, nobody will dare to expose the misdeeds (extortion) committed by these officers", they said.
It is pertinent to mention here after reshuffle in council of ministers that took place in April this year, several OSDs got retained despite sacking of their bosses. |
