Political tussle hampers school upgradation | | | Ashwani Sharma

Udhampur, July 5: Giving a shock to over 200 students pursuing their studies in Middle School Loudhera Zone Dudu the local BJP MLA Ramnagar has dropped this school from the list of schools to be upgraded. Anyhow High School Dehari, middle school Jansal , high school Ghar Femma in the same constituency were given a nod for upgradation. Locals informed that a political tussle between the sitting MLA and the ex-MLA is responsible for this unfortunate happening. It is pertinent to mention here that the Director School Education Jammu has directed the CEO Udhampur for upgradation of those schools who were disurbed the upgration by concetunicy wise and after the director order CEO Udhampur send a latter to BJP MLA of Ramnagar for all these four schools in Ramnagar constituency including Middle School Loudhera for the upgration on the dated 10/5/2018 but only three schools were upgraded from the four schools by the order of BJP MLA. While the CEO in turn involved the local MLA who selectively dropped Middle School Loudhera , locals alleged. Sham Lal a local residential of village Loudhera has informed that Middle School Loudhera is having over 200 students and the nearest high school is 10 km which the students have to cover by foot. "It is injustice. We will protest against this wrong step. We want the future of our children and for that we want education at our door steps," said an irked mother. A lady whose two children study in the Middle School Loudhera said. Locals have appealed to the Governor N.N. Vohra and DC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar to intervene and get the school upgraded for the welfare of the students. CEO Udhampur Jatu Ram was not available. |
