Defensive PDP leadership will try to placate rebel MLAs | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 5: Fearing that any action again rebel MLAs would be proved counter productive for the party, defensive leadership of PDP has ultimately decided to hold discussions with annoyed MLAs to avoid split in the party. Instead of taking action against the MLAs, who have raised banner of revolt, the party leadership is going to placate them. Talking to a Kashmir based news agency PDP chief spokesperson, Rafi Ahmad Mir said that though party has not taken any cognizance over the statements made by the disgruntled leaders as the party president, Mehbooba Mufti is out of station. "We appeal the party leaders that there was no need to get disgruntled as party leadership was putting every effort to do best. We want to help the people and at present they need us. People may be against us but we have done whatever was possible during our tenure and will try to do in the future as well," he said. Credible sources said party has decided to approach rebel MLAs because number of annoyed legislators is increasing with every passing day. Party leadership has realised that the dialogue is the only way to resolve crises. |
