Jammu, July 5: Sri Sri Rural Development Program Trust (SSRDP) under the aegis of Art of living in Collaboration with Society of Pollution and Environment Conservation Scientists (SPECS), organized a 4 days training workshop from 2nd to 5th July at District Jail, Amphala Jammu to train and equip 25 Jail inmates in making and repair of LED Bulbs, Bamboo carved decorative lights. The jail staff including Dinesh Sharma Senior superintendent Jammu Jail, Additional Superintendent Tejinder Kour, Deputy Superintended Feroz Ahmed, Asst. Superintendent Nasir Ahmed, SO Sajjad Ahmed along with Mr. Savinder Gupta, J&K Coordinator AOL-SSRDP were present on the occasion. Yogesh Bhatt senior trainer from SPECS said that during the 4 days training program the jail inmates were trained and equipped in making electronic LED Driver, LED Circuit, Bamboo craft and assembling of bamboo LED decorative energy efficient lights. The trainees enthusiastically participated in the training and learnt the art of assembling, testing, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of energy efficient lights. He further said that repairing of a LED Bulbs can minimize e-garbage and global warming as well as climate change. The jail inmates made more than 50 decorative lights during the training period. |
