SRS criticizes doctors' strike, welcomes ESMA | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 5: Shri Ram Sena today welcomed Govt's decision to invoke the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) to deal with the strike called by the doctors in various health institutions of the state. Shri Ram Sena State President, Rajiv Mahajan expressed concern as why doctors who are supposed to save lives attach no value to people's lives and pain. They are obviously unaware of an indifferent to their social responsibility. The rights and wrongs of it apart, does their issue warrant a strike? It is something that has to be resolved by discussions. If the issue is resolved in their favor, can the doctors compensate for their apathy which has claimed lives?, Mahajan asked. Adding further he said, shutdown of services by the resident doctors was absolutely uncalled for. |
