Congress condemns attack on minorities in Afghanistan | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 5: The Minority department of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has strongly condemned the deadly attack by a suicide bomber that targeted a group of Hindus and Sikhs in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar. S. Gurdarshan Singh - Vice Chairman while speaking on the occasion said that the microscopic Hindu and Sikh minority has endured decades of discrimination in a war-torn country, members have been targeted by the Islamic extremists groups in the past. Further he said the frequent and systematic attacks on the minorities have been orchestrated by the fanatic group to create a serious sense of fear and insecurity amongst the minorities communities living in Pakistan, as a result only 1000 Hindu & Sikh remain in the predominantly Muslim nation. Michael Wazir -State Coordinator while condemning the violent attack on peace loving minorities in Pakistan and Afghanistan calls on the Pakistan Govt. to take immediate steps to address the violence targeted at the Country's religious minorities. S. Gajan Singh, S. Bhupinder Singh, Nasir Masih, S. Bikramjeet Singh, Hamid Mattoo. Mian Nazir Ahmed, Ch. Maqbool also spoke o the occasion. |
