| PTLF alleges discrimination, appeals guv for time bound promotion | | |

JAMMU, July 5: A monthly meeting of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers' Forum (PLTF) was held here today under the chairmanship of its president Deepak Sharma. During the meeting, the Forum members alleged that successive state governments have discriminated on various fronts with the Plus Two cadre.
Deepak Sharma said that the Forum has been demanding Time Bound Promotion in favour of Plus Two Community since long but got only false promises in return. Though all other gazetted cadres in pre-revised scale of 8000 - 13500 are enjoying the benefit of Running Grade / Time Bound Promotion but only Plus Two Lecturers have been left out. Even recently sanction has been accorded to Time Bound Promotion to KAS / KPS Cadre and Assured Career Progression in favour of gazetted cadre of Engineers but only plus two lecturers have been discriminated as all gazetted cadres were to be covered under the ambit of Assured Career Progression Scheme including Plus Two Lecturers as per budgetary announcement this year.
Deepak Sharma appealed Governor for his personal intervention to accord sanction to ACP/ Time Bound Promotion in favour of Plus Two Cadre on the analogy of other gazetted cadres and engineers i.e., Three Time Bound Promotions within a span of 20 years to remove age long stagnation in the cadre.
Forum also demanded expediting of release of list of Senior Lecturers as per one-third cadre strength, restoration of 40% college quota, non vacational status to Plus Two Principals and removal of their pay disparity and regularization and removal of pay disparity of Physical Education Lecturers. |
