| ITIEUF opposes promotion of Maqbool as OSD, terms it illegal | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug, 1: To discuss the situation created due to the alleged illegal promotion of Ajaz Maqbool, Vocational Instructor III Tral, as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Secretary State Board of Technical Education J&K, an emergency session of J&K Govt ITI Employees United Front's (ITIEUFs) executive body was held here.
The session was held under the chairmanship of Nazir Ahmed Molvi, the state president of the front.
On the occasion, the members said that as per the SRO 254, dated 4th of August 2003 Recruitment rules of Drawing Instructor having five years service in that category can be promoted to the post of Foreman, Supervisor, Surveyor, Group Instructor i.e. 35% quota for Drawing Instructor, 60 % quota for V.I. having passed ITI/NAC/CTI, 5% from category of Technical Assistant and after promotion as a Supervisor, Foreman, Group 1ristructor, Surveyor one has to render work as supervisor etc for 5 years and then he qualify the next promotion Gazetted cadre Superintendent. But it is very unfortunate the new secretary Javed Ahmad Khan, Secretary to Government Technical Education Department ignoring the feeding cadre has sent shocking and wrong message to the state employees of Technical Education particularly ITI sector.
The executive body has already brought into the notice of Advisor to the Governor, vide receipt. Flo PS/Adb(G) 2018/609-R dated 24-07- 2018. Worthy Chief Secretary of J&K State, Commissioner Secretary GAD vide receipt No. GAD/3524 dated 24-07-2018 and Secretary Technical Education through representations about this illegal promotion order and has demanded immediate cancellation of the said order. Since the govt. has not cancelled this illegal promotion till today therefore the executive body is left with no option alternative except to announce the state wide protest against the illegal promotion order, they added. |
