KATHUA, Aug 1:The Inter school district level tournament of District Kathua organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua concluded today.
It was organized under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Subash Chander Bhardwaj concluded here at Sports Stadium Kathua today on Wednesday.
The tournament was organised for under 19 years boys and girls in various disciplines such as Cricket, Hockey, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Martial Arts, Wrestling, Mastogi-Do, Softball, Speedball, Swimming, Roller Skating, Rope Skipping etc.
On concluding day, the competitions of Cricket and Tennis Ball Cricket for under 19 years girls were held under the convenorship of ZPEO Rajesh Kumar. Today's matches were officiated by Omkar Singh, Tarsem Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Kajal Premi, Sunil Kumar.
Bhardwaj speaking to players appreciated their willingness towards sports activities. He advised the players to remain connected with the activities being organised by the department time to time. A total of 760 players of various schools of district Kathua participated in the tournament in different disciplines.
