Jammu, Aug 1: The Pre-Primary Wing of DPS Nagbani celebrated 'Blue Day' today in the school. The aim was to make the tiny tots aware about different colour combinations. Blue colour symbolizes trust and calmness and the significance of the blue colour was reiterated through a series of activities. All the students came dressed up in different shades of blue.
The classrooms were decorated with Blue Balloons. The little ones performed the activity of making peacock, fish, birds and clouds using handprints. They were overjoyed and thrilled to see the work done by them. To make the activity more inclusive, the students brought different objects like toys and decorative items. They also participated in games and other interesting theme based activities. The class teachers told them that the blue colour symbolizes loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust. Coordinator of the school, Aarti Gupta said that early identification of colours helped to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which is an important part of child' development. |
