Jammu, Aug 1: Inter School District Level Tournament for Boys U/19 yrs in the sports discipline of Badminton, Yoga, Thang-tha, Wushu, Squay Martial Art, Judo Gymnastic Fencing and Weight lifting for the year 2018-19 of District Jammu gets underway at Indoor Complex M.A stadium Jammu.
In all 150 Boys are drawn across from 14 Zones of Jammu District are taking part in the competitions. The competitions are being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronage Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad Director General, YSS and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director YSS Jammu.
While addressing on Opening ceremony in presence of all the ZPEO's, concerned officials of Jammu District, Chanchal Kour DYSSO Jammu encouraged the participants to play with full enthusiasm and sprit.
She also said to participants 'play the game, play it well. The main objective of the competitions is to select the teams of Jammu District for the next level of competitions i.e Inter District, Division Level Competitions.
Today's result Badminton Boys U/19 yrs as JK Public School beat Janki Nath Memorial by 2-0, APS Domana beat APS Miran Sahib by 2-0, MIER Jammu beat Jammu Sanskriti by 2-0 and GD Goenika beat Maharishi Vidya Mandir by 2-1.
Quarter Final as DPS Jammu beat JK Public School by 2-0, APS Domana beat Ranbir HSS Jammu by 2-0, APS Ratnu chak beat MIER Jammu by 2-0 and APS Kalu chak beat G.D. Goenika 2-0.
Matches were officiated by the panel of experts of Department of Youth Services and Sports. |
