Junior doc performs surgeries in DH Samba, resentment brews among seniors | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 16: A junior doctor, who was appointed as a Medical Officer (MO) in the District Hospital Samba is performing surgeries alone without the supervision of seniors reportedly by leaving their MO job which brewed resentment among the senior doctors. As per seniors , the said doctor earlier posted in a Primary Health Centre and had been attached District hospital as Medical Officer but he is performing surgeries which are not part of his job. Although, the other Medical Officers are performing their duties roaster wise, he was continues to examine the patient in OPD in District Hospital Samba with the help of the concerned higher-ups. If the doctors are to be believed, the above-said doctor doesn't have that level of experience in conducting such surgeries without the supervision of seniors. The doctor even does not have the grade which is necessary for surgeries. It seems the administration is in deep slumber over the issue and lets a junior to put lives of innocent lives to risk. Moreover, the MO is not performing the duty of causality where it is ordered. The questions are raised that who is backing him? And who is responsible if an incident happened with Patient? |
