Jammu, Sept 16: On the eve of "World Ozone Day" celebration J&K State Pollution Control Board organized a painting competition of District level participants at Sate Pollution Control Board District Office Samba. The programme was organized under the supervision of Regional Director, Jammu Shally Ranjan (IFS). Dr Yash Paul, Sr. Scientist. He elaborated the importance of Ozone layer and its concern being a thought at International level for the protection of livings and mankind. In the painting competition of World Ozone Layer celebration on the theme of this year , 41 Students from participating schools of District Samba i.e Govt. Model Hr Sec School Boys Samba, Govt Girls High School Samba, Adarsh Public School Samba, Chambyal Model School, Nud, Samba, Kristu Jyoti Convent School Samba, Lord Krishna High School Samba, National High School Samba, participated in painting competition on the event of World Ozone Day and adjudged for evaluation by Dr Yash Paul Sr. Scientist and Er. Angrez Singh Div. Officer, Samba (South), Er. Deepak Abrol Div. Officer Samba (N), Er Anil Sharma Div. Officer SPCB Kathua and Randeep Singh Manhas, Scientist Incharge Scientific Monitoring Distt. Samba and adjudged Miss Anshika Sharma from Lord Krishna High School at 1st Rank, Mr Aryaveer Singh Sambyal Kristu Jyoti School Samba and Pushpinder Singh Model hr Sec School Samba stood 2nd Rank and Miss Sonali Rajput, Govt Girl Model Hr. Secondary School Samba and Miss Ritika Rajput from Chambyal Model School, Nud Samba stood at 3rd position. The program was concluded by prize distribution to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank holders and participation certificates to all the participating students and finally students pledged to shun ODS and to adapt the use of Ozone Layer friendly products. Vote of thanks was presented by Div. Officer Samba (S) Er. Angrez Singh, to all the participating schools, students and SPCB Staff. |
