De-clubbing of NPS Bela Jord demanded

Kathua, Sept 28: A large number of people hailing from tribal community today staged huge protest at Barnoti and demanded de-clubbing of New Primary school Bela Jord.
Government opened New Primary school at village Bela Jord falling under jurisdiction of Educational zone Barnoti in 2012. The school was running successfully for Gujjar Bakarwal community that provided building without any rent. The school was reported to be clubbed with nearby Mobile primary School in 2016, 3 km from actual venue resulting difficult for minor students to travel 3 km and reach at school.
Barkat Ali, Md Ali, Mojo Din and ex chairman of the Panchayat demanded de-clubbing of school in actual place and ensured to provide building without having any monthly rent. Ex Chairman informed that people approached CEO Kathua few days back who further asked a report from ZEO but no action has been initiated till day to reopen the school. Chairman appealed CEO Kathua to intervene the matter personally for welfare of minor students.
Bura Bano, a 3rd standard student, informed that she could not reach school at time due to long distance and solitary route. She added that school has only one room and 25-30 are being adjusted there that affects teaching-learning process. Some students got injured while walking to 3 km distance, she informed by demanding that the government should take immediate action to de-club their school.
