Kathua, Sept 28: A Lok Adalat was held in the premises of District Court Complex Kathua under the chairmanship of District Legal Services Authority Kathua, Sanjeev Gupta.
To settle the cases in the Lok Adalat two benches were constituted. Bench No. 1 comprised of Principle District and Sessions Judge Kathua, Sanjeev Gupta and Additional District and Sessions Judge Kathua, Sikander Azam Choudhary.
Bench No. 2 comprised of Special Mobile Magistrate Kathua, Sunil Sangra and Munsiff JMIC Kathua, Preet Simran Kour.
A total of 10 cases of which five MACT, one Bank case, one 138 NI Act, two criminal compoundable and one case of Municipal Act was settled and disposed off. Settlement amount of Rs. 99,95,000 was also passed in favour of the petitioners. |
