Painting Competition on 'Swacchta Hi Sewa' and Quiz Competition held

JAMMU, Sept 28: On the occasion of Gandhiji's 150th birth anniversary celebrations, Painting Competition on the topic 'Swacchta Hi Sewa' was held in the college in which more than 10 students participated.
Out of which Shivani Devi of B.A. Sem-I stood first, Romi Devi of Sem.- V second and Riya Sharma of B.A. Sem.- I third respectively and Asma Saroj of B.A. Sem.- III secured consolation prize. Certificates were distributed by Rajni Bala, BDO Bishnah and Prof. K.S. Koushal, Principal of the college to all the participants. In continuation to the celebrations, a Quiz was also organized by the NSS Unit of the college in collaboration with College Cultural Committee.
Questions related to the role of Gandhiji in the struggle for freedom and his role in the struggle for freedom and his role in the upliftment of the society were asked to the participants. The motive behind the programme was to enhance the knowledge of the students by putting them through Brain Storming Session. Efforts were also aimed at imbibing socio- cultural values like Patriotism, Non- violence, Selfless Service to humanity. The programme was conducted by Dr. Seema Sudan, HOD Hindi and Prof. Ashu Manhas, HOD English.
