Early Times Report
Udhampur, Oct 9: Over a year has passed but the Forest Department Guest House at famous hill station of Patnitop is yet to see the light of the day. The then Forest Minister, Choudhary Lal Singh on September 29 last year had laid the foundation stone of this Guest House after which some work was also started but the building is still awaiting completion. Sources informed that after the then Forest Minister, Choudhary Lal Singh resigned from council of ministers in the wake of Rassana rape and murder case, none took interest in the project which was to provide accommodation to the visiting officers and others from the Forest Department at the hill station. The stake holders are pinning hopes on the Governor for the completion of this project. When contacted DFO Batote Safeer , said that no funds were available for the completion of this guest house project. |
