After ET report Samba admin wakes up, provides assistance to accident victim | | | Gurdas Kumar

Vijaypur, Oct 9: Taking cognizance of a news item published in daily Early Times, a few days ago about indifference of the local administration towards miserable condition of an accident victim who lost his both legs, the Samba District Administration provided him a tricycle and financial help of Rs 10,000. The Early Times had published the story titled "Ex-BJP minister makes fool of Samba accident victim" in its edition on October 4, 2018 wherein administration had made many promises to mitigate the miseries of one Madan Lal, a resident of Keran Wali of Ramgarh sector in district Samba, who lost his both legs in an accident last year which made him dependable on other members of family. The victim was made to run from pillar to post to get pension benefits, to get his house repaired whose roof collapsed during rainy season which forced him along with his family to live in open sky. When this news was published, immediately the concerned administration took action and send for the victim at the office of Deputy Commissioner Samba, where Additional Deputy Commissioner Arun Manhas personally handed over a tricycle to Madan Lal, and gave him Rs 10,000 from Red Cross fund. While talking to Early Times ADC thanked the Early Times and other social organizations for raising this social issue. "We will help him to issue KVIB loan so that he may start some business like opening up of shop for income generation to run his family which is totally depended on him," he said further said that we will also ensure that the benefits of other schemes like toilet, house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) also be provided to him. |
