RAMBAN, Oct 9: Ramban police today claimed to have arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the last five years. Police identified the absconder as Sukhwinder Singh of Kirpind Tehsil RS Pura, who was evading arrest for the last five years and was involved in a case under FIR No 167/2013 under section 379 of RPC of Banihal police station. It is pertinent to mention here that Anita Sharma, SSP Ramban, after joining the District, had given clear cut directions to the lower formations to be strict on several issues and apprehension of the absconders was one of the core ones. As a result, this is the second apprehension of absconders within a period of 15 days. The effort got executed by Inspector Aijaz Wani, SHO Banihal under the close supervision of Sajjad Sarwar, SDPO Banihal, Sanjay Parihar, Addl SP Ramban and overall supervision of Anita Sharma, SSP Ramban.
