Electricity in Doda likely to be restored by midnight
`Kishtwar restoration in 2 days'

Jammu, Feb 13: The power woes of Doda people are likely to end tomorrow while restoration to Kishtwar may take two more days.
Speaking to Early Times, a senior PDD offical said that the electricity to Doda town and its adjoining areas will be restored by today midnight or early in the morning.
He said that the efforts are on to connect Kishtwar's 33 KV grid at Katarsamna from Thatri which ensure that Kishtwar will get electricity from Khelani receiving station.
He said that the process of connecting 33 KV transmission line with existing 132 KV transmission line will take 2-3 days added that it will take around 10-12 days to repair the damaged towers.
He said that all this will help the department to recharge electricity on emergency fitters as well as to the people of Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas. He said that it will take around 5 days for restoration of electricity to Chatroo, Sarthal areas, 10 days to Padder, 15 days to parts of Dachhan and around 10 days in Bhunzwah area.
He said that department has suffered the losses to the tune of around 2-3 Crore in Kishtwar District while Doda District also suffered massive damages, approximately to the tune of Rs. 2.50 Crore.
Meanwhile the people alleged black marketing of kerosene by the dealers.
Bilal Ahmed Shah from Bunastan Kishtwar said that the kerosene is being sold in black market while the poor people are being denied the same.
Several people from various areas of the District are complaining about black marketing of kerosene and non availability of essentials.
