| Poonch police officials `back' criminals | | |

poonch, July 13: Many police officials in the district are allegedly favouring the criminals.
According to the sources, there are many registered FIRs in Police station in Poonch district which are yet to be challaned for their Judicial Investigation and accused are sharing amounts with police officials.
The sources said that some very close friends of Police officers and leaders are looting people in the name of "SHO sab ka chaye Pani" and police officials are giving shelter to them.
Sources from police department informed early times that, one of the very close friend of an SHO posted in Poonch district was booked in a rape case. They said some senior police officials have been supporting him.
Locals said, "they are scared of police , as some SHOs are working at criminal's behest." Locals have appealed to governor Satya Pal Malik and Director General of Police Dilbag Singh to look into the matter and direct Poonch police to resolve all the pending cases in Police Station Mandi and Poonch.
The SSP, Ramesh Angral assured that he will direct all SHOs to reopen all files of criminal cases and take necessary action against the accused. |
