Jammu, July 29: Taking the mission of "Green J&K" forward, Jammu Forest Division organized another plantation drive at Sidhra in which Tejinder Singh IPS, SSP Jammu, Alok Kr. Maurya, IFS, DFO Jammu, Vinay Kumar, SP South Jammu, Rajinder Singh Rahi SDPO East Jammu have planted trees. On the occasion Alok Kr. Maurya, IFS, DFO Jammu, said through the active participation of Officers/Officials of J&K Police Department with Forest Department, nearly 100 plants different species were planted in this Plantation drive. DFO Jammu added that the J&K Forest Department have launched "Green J&K Drive" and in this regard various plantation drives at different locations were also organized by the Jammu Forest Division. He also appeal to the common masses for inculcating the habit of planting trees and nurturing them, as the trees are the only way to reduce global warming and also these can also help in groundwater recharge and reducing the pollution. In the plantation drive Sh. Varinder Singh, Range Officer, Bahu alongwith Block Officers and field staff have also planted trees. |
