Poonch, July 29: Although District Development Commissioner Poonch has held a public Darbar in remote area Fatehpur to listen and redress public grievances, the main demand- restoration of Mandi-Fatehpur-Seri Khawaja roads has been ignored, the locals said.
According to the sources, public demanded to repair/blacktop the said road at priority basis but DDC and district administration is careless to fulfill the said demand. Sources from Dhara, Fatehpur, Danna Dhakran and surrounding have accusingly said, "district administration is not careful to provide basic necessities to the public".
Locals said, "restoration of this road was the main demand, about which Deputy Commissioner has committed to restore in a week time, but 15 days have been passed and no work has been started yet now". They have appealed to governor Satya Pal Malik and Divisional Commissioner Jammu to take cognizance and provide facilities to the common people of the said far-flung area. |
