JAMMU, Aug 1: International Volleyball Player Saqlain Tariq from border town of Poonch District selected to represent India in 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship to be held at Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar from August 3 to 11, 2019. Tariq, who recently played the Pro-Volleyball League, has been called for the Senior and Junior Indian Camps on the basis of his performance in national and Pro-Volleyball League championships. As per communication by Secretary General VFI Ramavtar Singh Jakhar to Volleyball Association of J&K, Tariq's name figured in the Indian Squad to represent the India in the 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship. Saqlain Tariq, who belongs to District Poonch, has already represented India in 10th Asian Youth Volleyball Championship held at Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2014 as a Captain of the team and he also participated in BRICS Games at Johannesburg (South Africa) and won bronze medal in the year 2018. Indian Volleyball Men's U-23 team place in pool and play their matches against China, New Zealand and Thailand. Meanwhile, Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK) President, Sidharth Daluja and other office bearers congratulated Saqlain Tariq for yet another milestone and wished him to be part of the Indian team. |
