Poonch, Aug 1: Jammu and Kashmir in known as the state of political Gundagardi, as many politicians are harassing administration for unlawful acts.
For the sake of their personal benefits, many politicians use their party name and many misuse their powers of representation. There are many such elements in Poonch politics who are harrassing administration forcing them to do unlawful acts.
One such element is found in Surankote tehsil wherein a political activist of a particular party is harassing the administration by saying "Mai Surpench hu" whileas his sister is a public representative.
Sources informed that, the man always poses as sarpanch in different offices and many a times has blocked the roads but no one is taking action against him.
The general public of the area expressed their anguish and said, he is using his sister's stamp and signature and looting general public in different ways.
They accused the police of inaction. "Despite having knowledge about he misdeeds of the person, the police is reluctant to take action," they said.
They have appealed to Deputy Commissioner Poonch to take notice of the matter and suspend his sister from the post of sarpanch.
Sub Divisional Magist-rate Surankote assured action when connected. |
