| Plantation drive organized | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 1: Urban Forestry Division Jammu in collaboration with Bharti Foundation Jammu conducted plantation drive at Govt High School Kalu Chack.
Sonam Dhollar Headmaster Govt High School Kaluchak , Ritu Bansal Bharti Foundation, Anil Sharma Corporator Kaulchak planted 150 medicinal plants in the school premises.
Speaking on the plantation drive Ritu Bansal highlighted the importance of Van Mahostav especially in schools.
She stressed upon the establishment of herbal garden in every school so that students come to know about the importance of medicinal plants.
Renuka Sharma Master , also stressed on plantation by school children. Rakesh Verma Range Officer Sunjwan , briefed about the Greening Jammu drive launched by Urban Forestry Division in Jammu City, he also urged the students to plant one tree on every birthday and any other special day.
A skit was also presented by school children on importance of trees and ill effects of tree cutting.
Nitin Charak Block Officer guided the school children as well as staff about the plantation techniques.
Sonam Dhollar Headmaster presented vote of thanks. The plantation drive was held in the overall supervision of Sammer Bahrti IFS Chief Conservator of Forests Jammu, Simuel Chankgjia IFS Conservator of Forests East Circle Jammu, Sunil Singh Divisional Forest Officer Urban Forestry Division Jammu.
