RAMBAN, Aug 1: Taking serious note about road traffic accidents , Dy.SP Mohd Rafi Giri SDPO Gool along with SHO Nayeem Matoo held meeting and interacted with drivers of Public Transport Union Gool.
In the meeting along with members of the union , drivers and conductors were also present.
At the outset of the meeting, the officer made aware the attendee the objective of the interaction.
The officer in the meeting expressed grave concern over the issue of fatal road accidents and its reason include dilapidated condition of vehicles, overloading, overspeeding, rash and dangerous driving and wrong parking.
The officer also conveyed them to ensure seats are reserved for women in passenger vehicles shall be occupied by women only.
He conveyed drivers that over charging and over loading on link roads like Kalimasta, Ind, Dharam, Dheda, Thatharka which are dangerous shall never be tolerated and strict action against law violaters shall be taken.Wrong parked vehicles in Gool market shall be seized and fined.
The vehicles must have First Aid box, fire extinguisher and the driver and conductor of the vehicle shall be in proper uniform. All drivers must have complete documents with fitness certificate and pollution always available.
The officer assured round the clock assistance to meet any challenges to avoid accidents.Public appreciated the initiative of the police as a measure to save the precious lives of the passengers. |
