| 18 bovines rescued, 4 held by Samba police | | |

Samba, Sept 28: District Police Samba succeeded in foiling two bovine smuggling attempts under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal by rescuing 18 bovines and arresting 04 Bovine smugglers at Naka NHW Tapyal, Ghagwal in two separate incidents. A Police Party of P/S Ghagwal headed by SHO P/S Ghagwal, Inspr. Sudhir Sadhotra under the Supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs. Samba, Sh. Tilak Raj Bhardwaj during Naka checking at NHW Tapyal intercepted one One Truck bearing Regd. No. JK02X-0951 which was coming from Kathua side. During checking of the said vehicle, 17 bovines were rescued and the bovine smuggler namely Bhag Hussain S/O Nami R/o Haria Chack, Hiranagar Distt. Kathua & Dvr namely Jaspreet Singh S/O Manjeet Singh R/O Simbli Paryal, Jammu were arrested on spot and the vehicle involved was also seized. In this regard a case FIR No. 87/2019 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started. |
