BJP-JJM to form coalition Government in Haryana
10/28/2019 8:49:18 PM
Those who believe that the situation in Kashmir has improved are mistaken because each day there is an encounter with the security forces between the militants and CRPF and each day some picket is attacked or a convoy. The other day Six Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured when suspected militants hurled a grenade at a 'naka' party near Government Medical College (GMC) in Karan Nagar area of Srinagar on Saturday evening. The police and security forces cordoned off the area to track down the attackers. CRPF Inspector General Ravideep Sahai said militants hurled a grenade around 7 pm on a column of CRPF manning a check-post in Karan Nagar area. Eyewitnesses said some gunshots were also heard. The injured CRPF personnel were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment. The grenade explosion and subsequent firing created panic in nearby Sri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital where people suspected a stand-off began between militants and the security forces. The attack took place at a time when security is being beefed up ahead of the formal bifurcation of the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories - Ladakh and J&K - on October 31.The grenade attack on the CRPF party in Karan Nagar area is the latest in the string of attacks on security forces since the law and order situation worsened in Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5. Earlier, militants had hurled grenades at separate locations in old Srinagar and Hari Singh High Street of uptown city. Kashmir centric political leaders and separatists are happy over the situation because the National Conference has vowed to fight for restoration of Article 370 and 35-A. The story in the PDP camp is not different and now that the upper House has been dissolved and Kashmir centric political leaders await with bated breath the scheduled for the Assembly poll. No doubt the PDP has lost the chances because it has lost BDC poll. and with difficulty Manohar Lal Khattar has been asked to assume the charge as Chief Minister because of the support of JJM and its leader Dushyant has been sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister. For the first time the old era of Aya Rams and Gaya Rams has been over with BJP and JJM to to lead a coalition Government.
